Description

This 350SL has had the original 4.5 iiter motor and transmission replaced with a 6.9 liter motor and transmission from a 1979 450SEL 6.9 Mercedes. Motor s/n 100-985-12-000 118. Due to the size of the larger motor it was necessary remove the Mercedes steering gearbox and replace it with a GM rack and pinion steering system. I had this done about 22 years ago. I had been driving the car off and on over the years untill about 3 years ago when the fuel pressure regulator quit working. We were not able to get a replacement that worked. we tried every where including Mercedes, ut nothing worked. I have lost interest in the car and want to sell it for a small fraction of my investment. Although i did have many years of enjoyment with the car. The listed milage 350 is not correct. Actual milage is not known. The car is being sold as is where is without any warrenty. Currently the car does not run or drive. The buyer must understand that the car has been modified.
