This beautiful car has been in the same family since 1981 and it has never been out of service although it has always been a special occasion driver. It is not restored, t is maintained. Everything that needed replacing or repairing has always been taken care of immediately. The original Ivory color was repainted in 1981. The comfy leather in the interior has been nearly all replaced when it was needed - notice the seats, oor panels and dash padding. The wood trim atop the dash was refinished at the same time the leather padding was replaced. Like all 50 year old cars it requires occasional maintenance, t the moment the horn is defective. (short in wiring). Radio is original and works, lock also. Air Conditioning is the original Kuhlmeister unit as installed at either the port or by the dealers in some cases. This is an original US car, ll US specs. It has power steering and power brakes (front discs) as well as every option I'm aware of. Matching numbers of course. The hardtop is a chocolate color and is almost never installed here in NE Florida. The car has always lived in a garage. It has never been trailered, nd it goes to local car shows a few times a year. The paint is great at 10 feet. Nearer than that you can tell it is a 35 year old paint job. The chrome is all original and very near perfect. The soft top is about 3 years old and has been rained on twice. (No leaks, elieve it or not) There is no appreciable rust and the floors are all original as is the trunk. There is very slight damage to the rear fender where a bicycle fell over on it in the garage. I have touched up quite a few stone chips over the years and I'm not especially good at it. While it has been shown fairly often and won a few ribbons, t is not a concours car. If you wanted to try to auction it in the $100-160k range it would require new paint and a general detailing. I'd say $20k to do it right.
The car is ready to drive anywhere, ut I will assist in having it shipped to a new owner. I might consider delivering it, ut I'm past 70 now and not as fond of long trips as I used to be. I encourage everyone to come and see it before bidding. I'm selling simply because the market has made it too valuable for a weekend car (at least in my price range).
I will of course try to answer any questions.
