1970 MERCEDES BENZ 220D SEDAN:
--Light Pastel Blue with Blue MB Tex and Blue carpets, 4-speed manual, factory air conditioning, restored from an original 50k miles example.
This superb 220D saloon is arguably one of the finest of its type that exists today. This 220D was restored by Brumos Porsche for the France family, the "first" family of Nascar racing, founded by Bill France Sr. The result can only be described as probably thebest 220D saloon on the planet.
Recently part of a well-known Northeastern collection, the paintwork is excellent all round as is the chrome. The panel gaps are also excellent and there are no visible signs of corrosion within the body.
It has been serviced properly and has recently been fitted with a new set of Michelin tires as well as a Radio/CD player although the original Becker radio is included.
Rarely do Mercedes saloons in such exceptional condition as this come to the market, and especially those with interesting ownership provenance.
