1948 MGTC ROADSTER. BRITISH RACING GREEN WITH BLACK TRIM. WIRE WHEELS. EXCELLENT OLDER GROUND-UP RESTORATION. CHASSIS #TC7820Offered for sale here on Ebay from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS is this attractive and handsome MGTC Roadster. This car spent most all of it's life in the ownership of afamily in Florida where the car was very well-preserved. This MG received a comprehensive ground-up body-off-the-chassis there approximately 15 years ago and is still presenting extremely well. It is fitted with an alloy/wood steering wheel. The body and paintwork is extremely nice as well as all of the brightwork. Panel fit is very good. A new wiring harness was fitted during the restoration. It still retains it's original Lucas headlamp set. The dashboard and instruments are very pretty. It is believed that the engine was completely rebuilt during the restoration. There are some appropriate dress-up alloy components fitted to the engine which gives it a competition look. An alternator has been fitted for reliability.The car starts on the button and runs extremely well with great oil pressure and no smoke. It runs drives shifts and stops as expected. The car's undercarriage is still extremely crisp and clean with a full stainless exhaust system fitted. All suspension components are nicely greased and operating correctly. This lovely car offers very good value in the current market when one considers current restoration costs. It has excellent fresher cosmetics compared to some of it's tired-looking counterparts.
