This just in! Currently owned by the son of the original owner, his early MGB (S/N 13497) was purchased on August 8, 963 in Birmingham, labama. (Original sales receipt included!) This car has no damage history, O RUST, as matching numbers, nd has accumulated 89,500 miles. It was refreshed in 1982-84 (ground-up), 008 (gauges, ydraulics, uel tank sender), nd 2014 (cylinder head, arb overhaul, lectrical updates). It has been garaged its entire life and is rust-proofed in the spaces below the door panels. The Michelin X 155-14 tires still have remaining life. It is as-original except for conversion to a modern electrical system including a change to negative polarity and installation of a Moss kit in early 2014 with a new Lucas alternator, ulley, nd belt. A Pertronics ignition system with Lucas look-alike distributor, ew plugs, ires, nd coil was installed in late 2014. The twin SU carburetors were overhauled by Joe Curto in late 2014 while the car was down for a cylinder head overhaul, t which time it was fitted with a new valve train suitable for burning modern fuels. It has a near-new correct blue top on a Type 2 frame with zip-out window. A Prestige blue carpet set was installed in mid-2014. The steering rack was fitted with new bellows and a new steering shaft spacer installed in 2014. The engine does not overheat, aintaining 190 F when warm, nd the oil pressure is 30 psi at idle and 60 psi at higher RPMs. Compression remains above 130 psi in all cylinders. It received fresh brake parts all around in 2013. Accessories include a 12 volt outlet under the passenger-side dashboard for electronic devices. The original blue tonneau and boot cover are still fresh and usable. Maintenance records go back to 1974 and major work was photographed. Comes with all the original parts that were upgraded, n additional Type 1 top frame, binders of service history and maintenance records, tc. Excellent driver inside and out with a complete and traceable history. Very small crack above driver's side mirror, ery small ding on the nose, nd a few other small chips and blemishes.
