Description

1991 300ZX 2+2. Overall in pretty good condition, complete and 99% stock. Definitely not molested or hacked. The car has been fully inspected and had some work done to it. I will list all details. We are moving and this one has to go. I don't have the time to fix it and am not going to do any more work to it. My loss, your gain.
First of all, the auto-check score sucks because it has had a number of owners. I don't believe the mileage to be accurate. When I purchased it there were major electrical gremlins which turned out to be the glove box light wires plugged together. All of the electrical works perfectly now except for the high rear brake light which has a couple of bulbs burned out and the rear defog button which had been glued in place.
After replacing the injectors with the new style and Concept Z adapter kit and new injector connectors, the car is only running on 3 cylinders. The PTU (late style) OHMS bad but I don't believe that it is the issue. As with many of these cars, the wiring connectors on the injection are dried out, loose and corroded. Example: Wiggling the CAS connector with KOEO sporadically operates the fuel pump. Possibly the problem. The ECU shows a bad knock sensor. The knock sensor wiring had been cut and spliced. Tests good to the ECU and the sensor itself tests open. Installing one on the manifold would be an easy fix for this. The engine ran quite well aside from the bad injector, so I assure you it is sound and doesn't make noise or smoke. Oil pressure is around 60 lbs. and it doesn't overheat. The transmission is good and I serviced it with new filter and Castrol ATF. The A/C compressor is good but needs recharging. It blows cool only.
New Parts:Brake rotors, pads and park brake shoes.Fuel injectors and connectors.Spark plugs.Rear hatch struts.Console trim covers.Power antenna mast.Free flow mufflers. (came with car)Accessory drive belts.Cam cover (R) resealed.Plenum gasket.Steering rack boots (not installed)
Needs:Injection electrical fixed (Obviously)Strut cartridges.Front torsion bushings.Right front ABS sensor code is active.A/C cooling fan is missing.Factory air box (has K & N universal)Front crash bar behind bumper dented (no accident history)Rear deck has some rust below spoiler.Driver seat torn (rest of interior nice with factory floor mats)Inner T-Top covers (R. side is pearl)Small cover to left of instrument cluster.Defog switch.RF inner fender liner and bracket.Front fenders buckled from jack between wheel well and door.Driver outside door lock loose. Some weather strip and seals. (DR door, T-top, Rear hatch)Possibly center driveshaft joint. (likely)Has mismatched 205/55/16 tires (2 & 2, fairly new)1 Lug nut missing.R-side grille over battery missing.Minor cosmetics.Power windows loose.
This is everything that is wrong with the car, no other surprises. I did put a few hundred miles on it before the injection issue and the car ran very strong and drove straight.
These are increasing in value and many are trashed or made into drift cars as you probably know. This is not one of them despite the auto-check score. I'm certain that it changed hands so many time because of the electrical issue which left the car with no lighting and therefore not street legal. It took 10 hours to figure it out and repair it. The injection issue is the same deal and I just don't have the time to deal with it.
I have the title which is clear, unencumberedand in my name. This is a decent Z to buy otherwise I wouldn't own it. Check my feedback, I am definitely not known to be dishonest or screw people over. If anything, I describe items as worse than they are. Ithoroughlyinspected this car and drove it, so the description is quite accurate.
Shipping is your responsibility. I will only help load the car.
