Description
Auburn Video Up for bid is one of the most beautiful and Correct 1932 Auburn 8-100 Custom Convertibles and from what we know the only one with this configuration. I purchased this car from the original family who’s son decided to sell the car sometime after his father passed on. His father who restored the car had owned it for over 40 years and purchased a nice complete example at the time then in later years did a complete ground up body off Concours restoration to a very meticulous level like no other. There is only 641 miles on the restoration and this car is fresh everyplace you look and will show very well in any high Concour event or AACA show and is close to a 100 point level. This car was done in the original colors as it came from the factory and is the rare 8-100 custom factory model with the Overdrive and the Startex system which will start the car automatically. The car is also equipped with the Bijur Lubricating system. I have a good friend who knew this man for many years before I meet the family and said he was so meticulous in this restoration that one today could never pay a restorer enough money to do a job like this and would easily exceed $ 200. 00. The chrome. leather. paint and all mechanicals are excellent with attention to high detail like few would have. If you call the Aubrun. Cord. Duisenberg Museum this car will come up and is shown as a correct and I believe the only example left in this configuration with the rare artillery wheels and rumble seat with rear the spare. I have the original factory tools including the jack and factory manuals from Auburn that were with this car form new. The car drives as a new car and feels like power steering and is a pleasure to drive. There is even a boot for the top when putting it down. I can on all day but you should really see and drive this car but for some reason you cannot this is a car I assure you that can be bought sight unseen and looks better in person that the pictures. The man who did this car put his heart and sole into the restoration like no other car I have ever had so someone is going to get a great Auburn here. I am selling this car at a very fair market price and is no way overpriced like so many classic cars are. I just have to many cars and no room at this point in my life. Best of luck to all of you. My phone number should you need any further details is; 914-413-3092 I accept all checks. money orders and credit cards including Pay-Pal. personal checks must clear my bank before I can let the car go.
