1953 Kaiser Frazer Manhattan Two Door Club Coupe 53K Original Miles
What an amazing find for Manhattan fans! Ok, ven if you have not been a fan, ou can't resist the visuals of this quirky design from a "David" in the field of Goliath American carmakers in the 40's and 50's. It's so cool to have something really different (AND inexpensive!). Check out what has to be one of the most "artsy" of interiors... Boucle and Bambu (created with low-pressure refrigerated embossing), wo material designs you may not have heard of before, ere used to help put Kaiser interiors in a class of their own. Notice the "industry first" padded dash, overed in the Bambu design. So here is the story... our 80 year old seller absolutely loves his car, owever, n unfortunate relationship between his "bum" knee and the clutch has caused his need to move to an automatic transmission. The paint (Anchor Gray with Persian Gray) has an interesting patina, e know that a good rub-out and polish will bring a lot of depth and gloss back (and remove the meeting of the garage/driver side rub), ut really, t's nice just as is (the buyer will use his own discretion). The undercarriage is solid with no known issues (put her up on a hoist if you like). The interior is remarkable with very little wear (note the picture of the drivers seat back), ut absolutely helps to confirm the super low 53K mileage. Mechanically, he's ready for her new home: a recent visit to a local mechanic for an oil change, carburetor rebuild, ebuild of wheel cylinders, fuel pump rebuild, fresh tune up and new battery, ll within the last 20 miles!American built with pride at the Willow Run facility (the largest building in the world at the time!) in Michigan just 20 miles outside of Detroit.

Please note that this Kaiser is NOT a Club Coupe as the first line in the descriptionindicates. The Club Coupe was dropped for the 1953 model year. (From an article in Hemmings Classic Car:Changes for Kaiser's 1953 model year included dropping the slow-selling Club Coupe from the lineup; styling and functional alterations included widened chrome headlamp rings, ounterbalanced trunk lid hinges, edesigned white-on-black instrumentation, new hood ornament and a lowered rear seat cushion for greater headroom.)
