Description
I am listing this car for a friend. Here is a 73 Plymouth Road Runner ex drag car now streetable. I will start with the motor that was just totally gone through by local Mopar expert Marvin Johns. It is a fresh 440 bored .30 over with Ross pistons and H beam rods. The heads are Edelbrock performance RPM aluminum. The cam is Competition cams 6.10 lift with solid flat tappets. Weiand tunnel ram with two 600cfm Edelbrock 4 barrel carbs supplied by a fuel cell in the trunk and a Holley blue pump electric fuel pump. Headers are Hooker Super Comp. Ignition is MSD 6AL electronic. It hasnt been dynoed but horsepower is estimated at 450 plus. The trans is a Mopar 727 with turbo action Cheetah valve body and a 3900 stall torque converter. At the rear is a narrowed Dana 60 posi with 4.56 gears and Strange axles with ladder bar coil over suspension. It also has sub frame connectors. All the modifications underneath appear to be professionally done and done right. The rear tires are Mickey Thompson ET Streets 33x18.5x15 and they are like new. The interior has a 6 point cage. There is no rear seat or carpeting. The radio and the heater have been removed. The dash has a full compliment of gauges. All lights and windshield wipers work as they should. The body is still in good shape with the only major rust being on the drivers floor and some in the lower passenger inner fender area as shown in the pictures. Both look to be relatively easy to repair. The candy apple red paint job is at least 30 years old and still shines but it is not perfect with small dings, scratches and imperfections. It does look great 10 ft away. All in all this is a really cool car that you can drive and enjoy as it is or upgrade to your liking pretty cheaply. I think the motor/drivetrain is worth the starting bid alone. It runs and sounds great and totally rips. I am sure I may have left something out so if questions please ask.
