For sale in our Chicago showroom is a one quick 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. The Road Runner name was introduced in 1968 as a trim level for the Plymouth Belvedere. The model was shoehorned between the highest trim GTX and the Satellite and was a huge success. The Road Runner sold double its expected numbers in the first year. This Road Runner will get up and scoot and is a real thrill getting it up to speed.
This Road Runner has had an older repaint and shows some wear but is still presentable as a driver and the body lines and classic styling is sure to turn some heads. This bird left the St. Louis assembly plant in 1969 with a 383 Cubic Inch V8 that has since been replaced with a big block 440 Cubic Inch V8 that sounds fantastic and will let your fellow motorists know you are on the road. Mated to that classic engine is 4-speed manual transmission running back to a posi-traction rear end. This car is ready for the street or strip and features a fuel cell, large Autometer tachometer and a SunPro gauge cluster to keep an eye on all of your performance.
