This is an early example of the short-lived Plymouth Cricket.Original car complete with original owner's manual/literature and all service records.Last good inspection was in 1999; has been in dry trailer storage ever since.Please see photos of paper work and underneath car.Also see photo of car in trailer prior to being cleaned!
We did drain gas, ut in battery, nd carbdiaphragm and car started right up!
Some background information on the Cricket:1971–73: Plymouth Cricket for North America In North America, he Avenger was sold as the Plymouth Cricket throughPlymouthdealers as acaptive import. The car was essentially an example ofbadge engineeringand Plymouth made few changes to it. Only the 4-door saloon and 5-door estate variants were ever offered, ue to the two-door Avenger being unavailable at the time. It had 9.5" front disc brakes and 8" rear drums.[6]Brochures included a cartoon cricket, ossibly trying to capitalize on the popularity of theVW Beetle.[7]A Chrysler Plymouth press release dated 30 June 1970 stated that the Cricket was going to be shown to the automotive press for the first time in November 1970. The first shipment of 280 Crickets from the UK arrived in the U.S. on 20 November 1970. Another press release issued on 23 February 1972 stated that the "station wagon" version was going to début in early spring of 1972.
