This 1977 Pontiac Trans am was purchased in Texas as a graduation giftfor a young woman. The car has spent its whole life in Texas driven by a female the whole timeso it has had an easy life. It was parked in a barn 20 years ago. I have the build sheet the original window sticker manual and even the receipt for the down payment in 1977. Ialso have thevery first title issued in 1977. Look at the interior-those seats are original ..not recovered. The crack freedash...is original not a "cap/cover". Even the tires are 20 yrs old (not a good thing for driving but more proof of its originality). The radio is original and it has the 8-track player in the console. All 4 beauty rings are on the original rally wheels. This is indeed a rare find.
I cleaned out the fuel tank put in a new sending unit and fuel lines.. replaced the spark plug wires and brake hoses-It runs and drives! The power windows go up and down -but slowly. The belt is still on the original ac compressor-I jumped a hot wire to it and the clutch kicked in like it is supposed to (Im sure it needs Freon..still r12 system-has never been converted to 134a). I didn't find a single chip in the glass. There is one dent in the left fender and surface rust on the quarter near the back window (no rust through). The space saver spare is in the trunk -including the jack and the inflator. The doors don't even sag when you open them.
The value of these cars is going up up up.. Hagarty values the 77 Trans am in #2 condition near $30k and rising.
Don't miss this opportunityto owna true one owner barn find Trans Am.
If you want a perfect platform to restore you willnot find any unwanted surpriseswith this verycomplete very originalcar... or leave it untouched.
ABOUT THE RESERVE:
I do have a reserve set for my protection against "auction snipers" but I assure you it is set well BELOW the actual value of the car.
