Up for your consideration is this stunning 1973 Nepal Orange Porsche 914-6. Originally fitted with a fuel injected 2.0 it was converted to a stack of Weber carbs feeding a 2.2 litre 69 911 engine almost 20 years ago. The engine features an S crank E cams turbo lower valve covers a high volume oil pump with turbo oil return tubes and a lightened and balanced flywheel. It gets spark from a Bosch Coil through a MSD 6AL ignition system. The carbs were rebuilt and tuned by Jerry Woods. Bursch headers flow the exhaust efficiently and provide an aggressive exhaust note. A Weltmeister shift kit and rod shortens the throw of each shift through the 5 speed transmission transferring power through a 6 spring clutch. Late model 16” Fuchs are slowed by 911SC brakes at all four corners. Koni adjustable shocks/struts with 200# rear adjustable coil-overs allow the suspension to be tuned to meet any demands. This car has always benefited from a dry climate and warm garage space and is extremely clean. It is an excellent driver and shows well. It is not quite a museum piece as it has been used but has always been well cared for and maintenance kept up to date. It appears to have had a high quality professional respray at sometime and is glossy and holds a deep shine. The interior features a vintage JVC AM/FM cassette with a Sony amplifier although the engine provides all the music the enthusiast driver will probably ever need. The VDO gauges keep track of the critical functions and all lights are in working order. The seats are clean and the tracks move freely. It is lacking a spare tire therefore the wiper washer does not function but it is fully hooked up. The spare tire compartment has additional structural tubing which at one time cradled a fuel cell for PCoA track events. The fuel cell race seats harnesses and an additional set of Fuchs with the race tires that were used for those track days and are available separately after the auction ends. This is a clean solid running/driving car and needs nothing from the new owner to immediately start enjoying their purchase. Please serious bidders only have your finances in order prior to bidding. A one thousand dollar deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end via paypal or wire transfer. The remaining balance must be paid prior to shipment via wire transfer or a certified cashier’s check. Cash at the time of delivery will also be accepted provided the transaction occurs at a bank. The new owner will receive a clean title from the state of Montana but the vehicle is currently located near Boise Idaho.

It has been brought to my attention by some Porsche specialists that this color might not be Nepal Orange. I had looked it up on a Porsche page and it said that 1973 914 Orange was called Nepal Orange. I guess the site may be wrong. It is the factory orange to the best of my knowledge. There is no color variation that I can see from the engine bay to the body or under the dash or seats or around the ID plates.
