Description

1966 Porsche 912 Rare to find Slate Grey with Red interior. 3 gauge car.Numbers matching as per COA from Porsche. Production date of 12.27.1965 which would really make this car a late 1965, ut the COA States 1966 for year. COA also lists it has coming with Passenger sun visor with a mirror, hrome ventilated wheels, nd tinted glass, here is a photo of the COA in the photo section of this listing. Slate Grey is listed as original color with a red leatherette interior. I believe the car is mostly original paint. Car needs to be restored, as rust underneath. It looks like someone used a piece of sheet metal for part of the floors, he torsion bar area has some rust on the drivers side but really the car isn't horrible. Interior ok except for dash. Key is broken, had to use two wires to get the car to turn over.Photos show overall condition which is needs restoration. Engine spins and starts to run on either so probably will run with fuel system cleaning. Car comes with a hand written small booklet which lists services, t is hard to follow exactly but it looks like says a motor rebuild at some point in the past along with a new clutch, he hand writing is hard to read.

912's are great cars. I spent yesterday driving another 912(not the carI am offering here)I acquired, put about 150 miles on it, ome high speed driving, ome back roads, ven stop and go traffic(Long Island Expressway) and the car really did a great job, plenty ofpower(these are pretty light cars so the power toweight ratio is very good)and I always felt in control and like I had enough of everything I needed whendriving the car and it was fun! I have driven many differentsports cars. These aregreat vintage sports cars that work well in many situations. They are also very simple with some basic tools you can do many things yourself on them.

Car is located in northwestern Connecticut about 75 miles north of New York City. I have a page with many highly detailed photos of this car, lease take the time to visit if you are seriously interested. forzamotorsports with the usual com ending. International buyers welcome. I can help arrange shipping to any point in the world but you must pay for it. I have two additional 912 cars I will be listing soon.
