Description

This is my once hoped to be project 1959/60 Renault Caravelle.This is a no title vehicle and the last date of registration tags are from 1981.Other than some minor dents dings a crooked bumper and surface patina the over all body is in pretty good shape.The floor pan is a different issue. The floor pans are awfully thin and rusted through in many areas. They willdefinitelyneed to be replaced in sections or as a whole.Most of the plastic andupholsteryhas been vaporized by years of exposure to the California sun.All of the glass is intact and in pretty good condition along with the tail light and front indicator lenses.This model has drum brakes on all fours. Front shoes were sticking so they have been removed and parts retained with vehicle. the 845cc Gordini motor. I had this motor up and running in 2010 and I was able to drive the car around a little. Motor still seems in decent condition. I did not perform anyleak-downor compression test.Transmission shifts through all gears but it is pretty sloppy.This isdefinitelya long term project vehicle but I think it is in an ok starting position...not ideal but ok.If more pictures are requested I will need a few days as the vehicle is stored in an offsite location.Sold as-is no warranty.Buyer will pay for and arrange all shipping.
