Description

Hello!
I am selling my 1986 Saab 900 Turbo, I have been the owner of this vehicle for 5 years now. It has been a great vehicle and I am moving on to other things. This Saab has been serviced on the dot, I would nothesitateto drive it anywhere in the country. Paint is in so-so condition, especially with the hood, roof and hatch areas. Little bit of surface rust on the driver's fender, bottom rearquarter panels ( See photos ). This car is from the West Coast, so there is no crazy amount of rust.
Here are some new parts that have been installed on this Saab. Fulltune up, ignition coil, v-belts, alternator, alternatorbushings, voltage regulator, battery, battery cables, power steering pump, water pump, power brake booster, brakes all round with EBC pads and brembo rotors, new brake caliper hardware, shocks, panhard rod bushings, poly sway bar bushings, B&G lowering springs, SAS fiberglass whaletail replica spoiler painted two tone with factory silver colour, CV Axles, ball joints, alignment, JVC Headunit, pioneer speakers, small Bazooka subwoofer, Rockfordamplifier, MOMO steering wheel with adaptor, AIC valve, TPS sensor, Mass Air Flow sensor, vacuum lines, Hella yellow fog bulbs, tinted center driving lights, Saab all weather floor mats, custom plaid door panels, new headliner, power window switches, valve cover gasket, pvc check valve, turbo by-pass valve from a Saab 9-5, custom lip chin spoiler, MSW gold mesh wheels ( Have stock wheels ). I have an entire binder of records since the car was new. Redline gear oil, all new fluids.
Thrush glasspack exhaust, it is a little loud but has that classic Saab burble. It does not have a cat installed.
The car has it's quirks, it has a sticky lifter when your first start the car on a cold start. It will quite out once it's warm. The Driver's side power mirror does not work.
The hatch struts are little weak sometimes, cruise control and central power locks do not work. Tires are in okay shape, they are showing some age with all my driving. I wouldrecommendreplacing them at least by next year. The trip odometer and odometer workintermittently.
The car does leak engine oil at the front main seal, it is not a major leak, but your will need to keep an eye out for it. Typically it will leak one quart a month with normal everyday driving. The power steeringreservoir has a crack on the bottom, so it leaks. This is an easy fix, you can either buy a good used one or fix theexistingone.
Typical Saab dash cracks and turn signal stalk not staying in place ( You will need to hold it in place signaling ) are found on this vehicle.
Air Condition does function and was refreshed in 2014. New receiver dryer, Compressor oil and R12refrigerant. Blows very cold! All fan vent setting work as they should.
The compressor is a little noisy, but I never had problems using it. All fans come on as they should. Car starts up everytime and has plenty of power through all the gears. The car shifts smoothly and the clutch does not slip under load.
Overall this is a very solid dependable daily driver. Very fun car to drive and I get compliments all the time.
