Description

For sale is a 1970 Triumph GT6+ project car located in Muskegon. Michigan. I've really enjoyed tinkering with it. hoped to finish it as a rat rod/daily driver. but I have another project coming in. so this one needs to go. The interior was junk and has been stripped out. and the worst of the rust has been excised. but I kept all the reusable trim and accessories. If you are looking for a concours-level restoration base. this is probably not the car for you--rust has taken its toll. and there is a fair amount of welding work to be done to correct it--but there is still a lot of life in this car for the experienced enthusiast in autocross. resto-mod. or as a parts car. This is a nearly complete vehicle; the only missing components I'm aware of are the main wiring harness. fuel tank. a couple master cylinder components. the wiper motor. and a few minor knickknacks (2 reflectors. a mirror. the front badging). The bonnet is dented but otherwise perfectly intact. Both doors have rust damage but look repairable; the passenger door does not open from the outside. The floor pans were redone before I got my hands on it. and still look solid. All the original glass is included; the windscreen is cracked but everything else is undamaged. The old windscreen frame was rotted out. so I found a fresh one. The worst of the rust took out the "butt" of the vehicle. but I removed the unusable sections and have two Eastwood patch panel kits ready for it. along with the clamp tool and sheet metal screws. The frame requires attention in places. but is not beyond repair. I replaced the wheel bearings and rebuilt the brakes (new calipers. wheel cylinders. pads and shoes. hoses. hardware. and rotors; drums were turned) but you'll need new lines and a rebuilt MC. The old bearings and calipers are included. The transmission appears to shift smoothly into all gears. but the shifter needs to be rebuilt. which I already have a kit for. I was told the engine ran when it was parked ~3 years ago. but have not gotten it back to a point where it can be started. There are a ton of extras and trim bits. most notably. a gear reduction starter that "should" fit (purchased from eBay). hub adapters to the standard 4X100 lug pattern. 4 BMW E30 rims (one of which is bent. another is chipped--they won't balance. but it rolls just fine) with new. never-used tires. a tie rod end set. steering rack boots and new solid mounts. seat frames. and tons of trim. gauges. paneling and other random bits. I'm not a professional restorer. and I don't have the time or skills to finish this car. But maybe you do! This is a great project for the right buyer; I'm not looking to make a profit. but I know it's not worthless. and I'd like to recover some of what I put into it. Thanks for looking. and contact me with any questions!Note: In an effort to deter scammers. I will need to meet with you IN PERSON before transferring the title. No pictures of it will be sent. No buyers outside the U. S. unless you are willing to meet this condition.
