Outstanding car to drive, ith RARE Automatic Stick Shift (Original) which means it has a three speed manual transmission which was connected to a vacuum operated automatic clutch. With the driver’s hand removed from the gearshift the clutch would re-engage automatically.
A great car like this deserves to be revitalized because time has away of drying out rubber, eals and etc. SO this is what I did:
Engine: Totally rebuilt by a VOLKSWAGEN MECHANIC SPECIALIST the original carburetor was rebuilt.
NEW: HEADS, EALS, EARINGS, ISTON RODS AND JUGS PLUS EVERYTHING ELSE FOR A COMPLETE REBUILT MOTOR.
I use 40 weight oil so it will run cooler.
TRANSMISSION: Was dropped and cleaned put NEW: gear oil and fluid, lutch disc and throwout bearings
BODY: Convertible top is in great shape inside and outside, ew Accelerator cable, ew floor pan on passenger side (driver side solid), gas tank cleaned, nd had the underbody undercoated. New shocks, teering damper, ront tie rod link, ront wheel bearings, ew tires, omplete new brake system including emergency cables, attery, all fuses, 0% of the rubber is new, ew emergency switch, ew horn, nd new German running boards.
The seats are original and in great shape plus the carpet is in good condition.
