Description

I bought this car in Dec. of 2003 in unknown condition off of e-bay for 3800.00. It turns out virtually everything needed replacing.... which I did .....about seven thousand dollars worth ....i have all of the receipts which show that the car had a new rebuilt motor put in which only has three thousand miles on it and it runs great.....but it should still be considered a project car even though it can be used daily. The car has new brakes and master cylinde, new wheel bearing, new carbureto, new alternato, new fuel tank, new heater channel, new wiper motor, new speedometer, new rear light covers and new front light rims and lights and like new tires ....the car runs great but still has a few known issues that need correcting and I have purchased the parts and they come with it as well .The main issue is there was some wire spicing done in the steering column that needs fixing ...i think some of the splicing is bad . I am selling most of my possessions and don't want to put any more money into the car ....it could use some work on the interior as well and a paint job ....basically if you put just a little more into this car you would have a tight little rebuilt bug ready for a hundred thousand miles....the new motor is not a super beetle fuel injection motor as was standard for this model ...those became problematic over time so it has a completely rebuilt carburetored dual exhaust port engine.I also have lots of parts and two official VW manuals as well as a parts car and vw tow bar that go along with it if wanted...there is also a cover for the top when it is down....the car is now officially an antique and is exempt from yearly inspections in the state of N.C.
