Description

1964 VW Bug

Body Work:

· Removed windows, doors, both deck lids, and fenders

· Removed all of the interior and dash components

· Treated interior with rust proofing paint

· Painted car with base and separate clear coat (2 stage), Panama Beige (L572)

· Replaced all 4 fenders

· New front window

· New chrome trim

· New running boards

· New bumpers and bumper brackets

· Powder coated wheels with new trim rings and hubcaps

· New window rubber with chrome trim (all 4 windows)

· New tires

· New windshield wiper arms and blades

Engine: 1835 Rebuilt:

· New shrouds

· New Empi dual 34 EPC carbs

· New ignition, wires, plugs

· New fuel pump

· New Bosch coil

· New engine mounts

· New transmission mounts

Interior:

· New steering wheel

· New seat covers (TMI)

· New horse hair seat pads (like original)

· Rebuilt foot pedals (awesome!)

· New headliner

· New glove box

· New “OS” bar

· New door panels

· New rubber floor mats (like original, much better than carpet)

Suspension/Brakes/Exterior Lights:

· 2 ½’’ drop spindles front (big job, done right)

· New shocks

· Rebuilt front beam and aligned at Clarence Brown Alignment

· All new parts for brakes: drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, stainless steel brake hoses

· Converted master cylinder from 1 to 2 stage (not easy)

· New headlights, deleted front fender turn signals to headlights (amber)

· New rear light covers

· New door handles (expensive)

Work Needed:

· Oil leak from engine (not bad)

· Remount oil overpressure box (easy job)

· Troubleshoot windshield wipers (they were working before radio was installed)

· Relocate brake fluid reservoir (installed on master cylinder, works fine just hard to refill/access)

· Heat exchangers on engine are in good shape but if you want heaters to work the hoses and cables will have to be hooked up
