Description

1978Volkswagen Bus Type 2 originally from the State of Washington. Selling it because I have to pay for mychildrens' college education. My son drove it during his senior year ofhigh school in 2014. It has been kept in a garage since his graduation, and has not beendriven in the rain. Its sad I must sell it because its a nice piece, and is pretty rare, but bills are bills. It has been completely restored by a previous owner. There is a new middle seat in it from an older model VW, but it can be taken out. Perfect for beach trips, surf trips, is great on gas. Youwon't be blazing the roadsgoing 100 mph, butyou'll get from point A to point B. Is also great as a daily driving vehicle, my son had an amazing time driving it and its certainly a head turner. Whoever purchases the vehicle will also get a freetye dye t-shirt on us,courtesy of the seller. The vehicle had a 29-point inspection at Smith Volkswagen, a reputable dealer in our area, and had $1800 worth of repairs done to it. Only known problem is that it needs a new windshield motor, and we never addressed that issue because it was never driven in poor weather. Since we owned it, my son has put less than a thousand miles on it, as the school is in close proximity to the house.

This vehicle has been relisted because the buyer who had bid to win the bus never got back to us, and never paid anything to own it. So this is someone else's lucky chance to own a rare antique.

I want to apoligize to everyone who has looked at this vehicle. My son has written the ad and he did not know that the van does NOT have air conditioning. I sincerely apoligize to everyone who has been misinformed that the van has air conditioning. Also, the van needs new pisser hoses and a new windshield wiper motor.
