A two-owner vehicle. All manuals present.

The 4WD Syncro allows this van to travel on many 4 wheel drive roads.

We would drive this van anywhere with complete confidence. Unlike stories we have heard from other Vanagon owners our vehicle has always been very reliable.

Our family has taken many camping trips throughout Colorado and the southwest in this vehicle. We owned other VW Westfalia campers before this one but this was our dream camper because of the Syncro with manual transmission of course we love the color. However we’re getting older and have only used it 10000 miles in the last 4 years. (It runs better than we do.) While we pursue some other more distant travel opportunities we want another person couple or family to be able to enjoy this Westy as we have for the past 18 years.

Interior

· All upholstery and cushions in very good condition.

· New carpet and we have rubber mats in front and custom-cut all weather carpets in the rear

· All seat newly covered and rear matelas

· No strange smells or odors. Van has been non-smoking.

· The two front seats have adjustable armrests in very good condition.

Camper equipment

· All original equipment in very good condition: curtains (including for front windows) back window screen screen and cover for skylight poptop window cover.

· Each of the two front seats can be fully rotated for maximum interior camper seating.

· Westfalia sink with (cold) water faucet 2-burner stove and water reservoir/pump all in very good condition.

· Refrigerator recently serviced but is finicky as all these OEM refrigerators are. Still works on 110 volt and 12 volt DC (both fine) and propane (the finicky part).

· New propane tank ( bus depot)

· Utility drawer pantry and six additional storage compartments/closets.

· Poptop canvas in good condition with one large screened window. except une tiny hole

· Upper bed cushions in excellent condition. (Approximately 48” x 72”)

· Both removable and adjustable tables are in perfect condition.

· Bench seat functions properly and changes into and out of bed position easily. (47” x 74” bed)

· Mosquito netting snaps into place so rear hatch can be left open.

· Full set of privacy curtains with all snaps and slides in good working order.

Optional/Additional features

· Larger 16” Mercedes Benz alloy wheels with new bfgoodrich all terrain tire LT225-75R16 with an other set oem vw halloy wheel

· New Pioneer radio/CD player with iPod cable.

· After-market 12V power outlet-cigarette light installed in dash.

· Vehicle does not have an auxiliary battery and hence no auxiliary heating system.

·Moveable and removable roof racks for your gear

Body

· This vehicle has never seen winter

· Not original paint in decent condition overall.

· Superficial rust under the body. very well maintained.

· While mechanically and functionally sound our beloved Westy does have a few cosmetic imperfections that you can view in the photos -- mostly superficial scratches dings and dents.

· This vehicle has never been involved in an accident or collision with another vehicle

· Spare tire

Mechanical condition

· With less than 62 000 miles on it the engine is still going strong. (new tested the compression ) regular coolant flushes have kept it running well.

· Excellent 4-on-the-floor transmission (5-speed with one gear for "super-low") with Syncro 4WD Transmission shifts smoothly.

· Syncro viscous coupler works well

· No oil or coolant leaks. new gear oil front diff and transmission and engine

· Brakes steering and handling are all in top shape.

· Van can drive 85+ MPH on flat highway (but obviously slower up hills).

· New item: Driving Shatf starter ( the best hi torque) timing belt all rear bushing rear bearings spark plugs rear and front trans-diff mount radio with 2 new front speaker antenna horn rear shock exhaust battery radiator thermo-switch diff lock actuator power steering hoses brakes hoses windows sealing windshield sealing cigarette light front heater control valve wipers Hella Driving Lights on a Bull Bar expansion tank cap accelerator cable mirror 12v converter

· Items replaced in past year: front brakes and pads clutch air flow meter engine

· Rear wiper is not working ( never has) Diff lock switch is faulty. the bulb-led is ok in the front panel but does not light because of the bad switch. the rear wheels lock anyway when you pull the knob. The tachometer is not working it is normal after subaru conversion all other gages are working great. That is all everything else is in perfect order

FOR CANADIAN BUYERS there are no fees involved other than shipping and your provincial sales tax.

OTHER COUNTRIES BUYERS please check with your local customs and motor vehicle bureau for the fees involved at your end I can get a couple rates to take it to your preferred sea port including export paperwork.

I can store in Quebec city at no cost as long as you want before shipping call with your specific needs. I will assist with logistics on shipping all shipping costs on buyer. I will deliver anywhere in noth america at no cost ( except the fuel) after full payment is received.

Shipping that kind of vehicle from Quebec city (Canada) to New York State is about 1200$ to Florida 1900$ to Texas about 2200$ and to California about 2700$. If you have a carrier on your own we can work that out too...

You can trailer it back home easily. You can also drive it back home if you want but if you need an in transit permit insurance coverage and you will need to pay Quebec sales tax (9.975%) and claim it back afterward. You need a passport to get back into the USA for both scenarios.
