Description

For sale is a 1987 Volkswagen Scirocco 16v. This is a 5-speed manual with 206k+ miles. Red exterior over black leather.
I bought this car in spring of 2015 as a running project. This car does run and drive but will need some maintenance before I would consider it a reliable driver. The body and paint have seen better days with various dents and scratches and some oxidation and fade in the paint. The main area of concern are the front right fender and right rear quarter panel which have serious dents and deep gouges. Other than the dents and scratches the body is solid without rust. This car spent most of its life in Washington state before moving to Virginia in 2007. The interior is in fair shape with only major area of concern being the driver seat which has a few rips and split seams. The dash is crack free.
I have not had the time or energy to work on this car other than replacing a faulty alternator. I have not diagnosed any issues this car might have mechanically. It does run and drive and I do drive it but it is in need of some TLC and maintenance. I have only driven this car around town a few times so cannot speak to the overall condition of the motor or other major components.
This car is sold as-is and sale is final. Any buyer will be responsible for shipping or pick-up. I will not deliver. Although this car does run I do not guarantee that it would make an extended road trip. This would be a solid base for restoration or resto-modding as it is currently unmolested and rust free.
