I'm selling my partially restored 1950 Willys Jeepster 2-door convertible due to family health reasons, nd the resulting time constraints. This Jeepster was stored in a barn for over 30 years. I started the re-building process but simply do not have the time to finish it.
The body, ncluding front window frame was completely refurbished using old-school metal repairs- its not a Bondo special. The frame is solid. It needs the final sanding then the color of your choice. The hard (and expensive) things are done.
The interior is original and needs new upholstery. The chrome/ stainless trim parts can either be cleaned up or refurbished.
It comes with two engines- a6 cylinder Studebaker motor coupled to a 1955 Plymouth rear-end, ndthe correct Jeepster motor as a spare. This Jeepster will run and drive but needs carburetor, rake, uspension andsteering work. It also comes with an extra hood and grill, xtra bumpers, nd all the side curtains for the convertible top.
I've had a few questions on this being a 1950 model year Jeepster given the '48/'49 front grill/ fenders and instrument panel/ cluster. The VIN is 13000 (really) and according production data, he 1950 VJ-3 had VINs from 12,698 to 13,190 (492 produced using carryover parts) with production from November 1949 to March 1950. This is a rare bird indeed. I have the VIN plate. Clear title.
Finished Jeepster's with straight/ great bodies like this one will fetch $35-45k in the classic car marketplace.
