Whatever the reason, this is not a homemade conversion....there are about 22 modifications done to the MB frame to make it useable for the cj2a. All brackets and mounts are custom made and factory installed. Even the machine gun mount was trimmed to fit the body.
Mostly all original with Minor civilian mods. 6v, Original chain drive engine, t90 side shift transmission.Very rare full pto unit with drum pulley, original to the jeep. Has new bearings..Data tags and frame tag are exceptionally nice and undamaged.
Clear title.
Has rust thru in the toolbox and some hat channels. Not a rust bucket by any means. Not all dented up.Will need full restoration to bring it back to former glory. Had a quick cosmetic makeover done...
Don't miss out on this super RARE column shift cj2a....not something you see everyday. It deserves a museum quality restoration.
Thanks, please email questions. On Sep-08-16 at 19:10:37 PDT, seller added the following information:
I have added pictures of the engine number, #cj-2a. 30636 which makes it factory correct for the jeeps serial number..
On Sep-10-16 at 09:58:19 PDT, seller added the following information:A noted Willys historian has advised me that the ACM body and tailgate numbers match (#20517) which makes the entire body and tailgate correct and original to the jeep. Also he confirmed that the engine is a Willys military "buyback" military block that happened to be installed in this vehicle originally. These engines were surplus ww2 MB motors that Willys was using up.
These above factors, along with the rare frame, make this cj column shift jeep an extremely desirable candidate for factory class restoration. The body itself is very restorable, and not beat up.
It is very rare to find all the mentioned unique details in any one cj2a. DONT miss out!
