The engine is a 4-bolt-main GM 383 Stroker with Crane hydraulic roller-cam & rockers aluminum Edelbrock heads with Weiand polished tunnel-ram intake & twin Holley 450cfm chrome-bowl 4-barrel carburetors. It's all backed up with Sanderson exhaust headers into dual-exhaust with stainless-steel Magnaflow mufflers. Sounds REALLY healthy but not obnoxiously loud. It certainly has plenty of bite to back up its growl.
The tranny is a 700-R4 overdrive unit with 2800rpm stall-converter built by Phoneix Transmissions and the rear-axle is a built & narrowed Ford 9-inch.
