Description

1975 Ford LTD Wagon -- Wow!
Super well preserved original (see docs section)Low miles -- Classic Period Color ComboRear Facing Seats -- Magic Door Gate -- What a ride!
Up for your bid is a truly classic slice of automotive history. It's kind of surprising how much these fully framed beasts impress when you step inside. What a heyday for the makers. If you like them very original and super clean, ook no further.
I've tried to capture enough details to provide a very thorough investigation of the car. Click following link to see a collection of 80+ pics -- Call if you have any questions -- (816) 786-7534http://s1382.photobucket.com/user/rootedowne/library/1975%20Ford%20Ltd%20Wagon
Exterior --Finished in the oh so 70's "Light Green Gold Metallic". It is a bright color. Super 70's for sure. All LTD's came loaded with standard options. This vehicle was ordered with the factory roof rack. Trim and chrome abound. They had a good thing going in these big, ll day comfort cars and the pride shows.
This car saw very limited use throughout it's lifetime. The first 10+ years as a grocery getter. It spent the next 25 years as a weekend cruiser at a lake house. Rear air shocks aided in the boat delivery & pickup duties -- twice a year low duty use. Very nice bright work throughout.
The rear tail gate is fantastic. It swings open using the outdoor handle. To fold it down like a truck tailgate, pen the power window and reach in to grab the release handle. Clever, olidly built dual action left hinge provides the "magic".
The closeup below of what looks like a bike tire valve is just that. It is the easy access valve to fill the rear air shocks. This car has had a spare no expense life. Rear area is a feast for the eyes -- a field of green. Rear facing seats are in like new shape.
Interior --The entire interior is in excellent shape (EG color code). Limited use and supremely proud ownership at work. The driver's seat is showing a bit of wear on the seat bottom. The inside rear view mirror is no longer adhered to windshield. That's about it.
Dash, teering wheel and gauges are in excellent shape. This came equipped with cruise control (left side on column). It works just fine. This is a pretty well documented car (see pics later). Excellent survivor for sure.
Headliner is in great shape. Interior courtesy lights work just fine. Carpet is great. And yes, he ashtray closeup is from the back seat. Bygone era.
At 225.6" in length and with a 121 inch wheel base, hey never got any bigger than the '75. A true land yacht. Still wearing the original wheels and hubcaps. Tires show very little wear. Ready to enjoy.
The paint overall still has a nice shine. But it also has a very pleasing worn in look, he true meaning of patina if you know what I mean. The first 2 pics capture the most visible fading right on a seam as you would expect. As straight and dry as the body is, t would be a great candidate for a repaint, ut keeping it just as is may be an even better way to go. It certainly presents very well exactly as is.
Ford Windsor bored to 400 Cu In & Rebuilt Tranny --Gotta have some muscle to push this beast down the road. It delivers. The mechanical side of things has been very well maintained too. The largest repair (see notebook) was a complete tranny job to the tune of $3000. Also done in the last 5,000 miles was a head gasket and head resurfacing and carburetor rebuild. Also has brand new exhaust. Ready to roll.
Included are the original build sheet (nice list of options it was $6448 new, bout $29000 today), actory ID plate for warranty and very good documentation accompany the car. Note the VIN from the dash pad and the color code on the door jam. It takes great care for them to survive this well. What a treasure when they do. It's like a trip back in time.

Wagons have a strong following. There will likely be quite a few people involved in this process. Treating the bid as the serious intent to purchase that it is much appreciated. Everyone wins when this level of respect is shown. Thanks in advance.BTW, his beatury was nearly off to Belgium, ut events in Europe forced it to backburner status. Understandable. So here's your chance!
Shipping -- transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. I will make it very easy on this end. These are quite popular in Europe. If you are from overseas and would like the name of a few shippers, lease let me know.
