I have spent years since I acquired the car going through and making it run and drive excellent. I am not the original builder but I have owned the car for several years. This is a hot rod…. not a rat rod… not a show car either, t’s just a nice little hot rod that wants to be cruised and shown at your local rod runs. It’s bare bones, tripped down, ough around the edges.... it's only what you need and a fun as hell, ttention grabbing rod.
I am only selling because I need to. I am starting my own business and money is more important that toys right now, o absolutely no trades will be considered. Here are the details…
Driveline
- Small block Chevy, ileage unknown. I don't know what has been done to the motor as I have never had it apart. It runs like it has a mild cam, ut no idea if it's been bored, troke, eadwork, tc.
- Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold.
- Holley 600 4 BBL with electric choke and stainless throttle rod (new).
- Electronic ignition with coil located under the dash.
- I believe it's gear driven however I can’t confirm as I have not taken of the timing cover, ut when you hear a SBC that sounds blown, ut isn’t, t usually means it has a gear drive (new).
- 8” ford rear end with mid-range gear ratio (I’d estimate 3.5 or 3.73)
- Turbo 350 transmission from Summit Racing (new).
- Torque converter and shift kit (new).
- Custom made transmission crossmember by Murphos Hot Rods in Austin, exas (new).
- Finned aluminum transmission cover (new).
- Transmission cooler.
- Underside frame mounted battery (accessible from the passenger compartment).
- Hand fabricated lake headers with internal baffles and turnouts…. built by “Gear Drive Speed & Custom” and coated in custom extreme high temp powder coating by Seattle powder coat ((the color looks similar to cast aluminum). They sound awesome and are completely tunable by removing or adding packing material.
- Cast aluminum air cleaner with four-hole phenolic spacer for improved bottom end torque.
- Aluminum valve covers with new lathe turned breathers (look like vintage Cal Customs, ut not sure).
- Custom fabricated aluminum radiator (new).
- Mechanical fuel pump (new).
- The oil pan is rough and I have a new chrome oil pan I will include. (new).
Exterior and Body
- Chopped 6 inches.
- Channeled 4 inches.
- Always garaged.
- Roof structure was made with square tube steel and welded to the top steel panel.
- Windshield visor was replaced with custom fabricated visor (new) and is now removable.
- The glass is cut down (not replaced with plexi) and there is no door glass or tracks.
- The body is decent but like I said... this is not a show car, ust a nice little hot rod.
- It was painted over year ago paint is baby blue paint by Justin Vincent Kustoms out of Seattle, A (the car used to be PPG DP40LF but thought the semi-gloss would add a little style to a flat blue primer) … the DP was sanded down and used as the base for the new paint.
- Louvered rear deck lid (factory Ford steel) with chrome spoon clasps and riveted So Cal Speed Shop badge.
- The antennae and license plate have been frenched in.
- The firewall is flat aluminum (I will remove my HAMB firewall plaque before shipping because it’s mine, nd you aren’t me :).
- Spun aluminum gas tank mounted in trunk.
- Custom fabricated aftermarket Ford Model A grill shell with custom steel insert.
- Small round door mounted mirrors (great visibility).
- Cast aluminum headlight stanchions.
- Large headlights (chrome/pitted)
- The body is decent overall, as some dings and blemishes that weren't addressed when the car was repainted. Like I said.... its a (semi traditional) hot rod and not a show car.
Interior
- Custom bomber seats by Rotten Leonard’s Jalopy Shop (new).
- 23” Lokar shifter (new).
- Machine turned dash insert.
- Moon Equipped steering wheel (new) with a quick disconnect hub.
- Seat belts.
- The floors and doors are raw metal (some original, ome new, ll rough and raw, nd nowhere near finished (if anything is rat rod about my car, his could be considered it and If you want a Boydster or Foose interior, ove along).
- The interior has access panels to the master cylinder and frame mounted battery and transmission filler is located on the transmission tunnel.
- Wiring kit under dash with fuse panels, locks, tc.
- Coil is located under the dash.
- Aftermarket gauges with white faces (all work), orn, igh beams, urn signal switch, attery kill toggle switch, eyed ignition switch.
- GUIDE traffic light viewer, ash mounted (new).
- Rear view mirror.
- Rag joint steering connector (new).
- Custom fabricated steering drop bracket (new)
- Front drop axle, eaf sprung, airpins.
- I’ve driven at 80 mph on the freeway and it tracks true, uns awesome and shows really well.
- Rear hairpins, ir bags (new) with onboard compressor.
- Air gauge and switches to control air bags to the left of the driver’s seat.
- The frame is square tube (I just had two sections rebraced by Murphos Hot Rods in Austin, exas.
- The frame looks to be a Speedway motors frame, ut I really have no idea.
- American Racing Torque Thrusts.
- Factory American Racing center caps with NOS sticker inserts (not installed)
- Hurst cheater slicks in rear.
- Disc brakes front, rum brakes rear.
- Braided and hard brake lines throughout.
- Master cylinder (new)
