You are bidding on a 1965 Ford Custom 2 Door Post ex-Police car. This car came originally with a 390 police interceptor engine and is a 3 on the tree car. It is hard to find any vintage real police vehicle anymore but to find a 2 door post stick car? I've never seen another one. This one started out life serving the Oregon State Patrol.
We found this car stored ina barn in Oregon and is a classic story. It sat in a tow yard for years and then somebody decided they wanted the original solid lifter interceptor engine (we have paperwork for it from the tow yard). The engine thengot put into a Ford truck and now it's gone. The good news is that the original transmission is still with the car as well as all the column linkage, -Bar and driveshaft.
The car has zero frame rust. We have taken many, any pictures below the car that show how clean they are. It has some floor pan rust from the rubber mat andsome trunk rust as well. It had a slight hit to the back so it will need a new trunk lid and bumper but it should pull out pretty easily. This has been a Northwest car all it's life and nobody uses salt around here. We buffed one part of the 1/4 panel and the original paint looked new. The patina on this car is just cool too with onlythe little faded paint on the fenders and roof.
We got a 66 Ford parts car for it too that is available for extra after the auction, t is the last picture below. We are also willing to take that car apart for the parts you need so you won't have to transport two cars. We have this car for sale locally and reserve the right to pull the auction at any time.
Please e-mail us to set up an appointment to see the car. Feel free to ask any questions about the car. The car is located in Shelton, ashington, hich is about an hour and a half south of Seattle, ashington and about the same north of Portland, regon.
Every effort has been made to make an accurate description of this car, ut some things were probably missed. This is a great restoration project but it is a project.
We accept Money Orders, ashier's Check, r Wire Transfer. A $250.00 nonrefundable deposit must be made within 48 hours of the auction ending. Payment must be made withinten days of the auction finishing. The car must be either shipped or picked up within thirty days of the auction finishing. We reserve the right to end the auction and cancel bids at anytime as the car is for sale locally.
Lots of good options to ship this one to you including just driving it home! It is a fantastic road trip vehicle. Some other good options are DAS Shippers, Ship and Central Dispatch.
