Description

1956 Plymouth Plaza mild custom cruiser. Car has been recently completed and is ready for cruising or shows. Beautiful car that gets thumbs up everywhere it goes. I have yet to see another car like this at any shows. Color is a light metallic green with a slight gold pearl to it (custom mixed). The color is perfect on this car. Pros:Very solid car to start with. Body was stripped to bare metal for paint. No rust or accidents. Original 230 flathead six. Original pushbutton automatic transmissionUpgraded Weber carb with elec chokeUpgraded distributor with electronic ignitionUpgraded front disc brakes & master cylinderDropped uprights (lowered the right way)New custom paintNew custom interiorTrunk finished to match interiorBumpers. grill. all exterior trim re-chromedAdded seat beltsEngine repainted and detailed. Diamondback radial white wall tiresCons:It drives like a 56 car. Don't expect to hit 70 on the freeway with this. 60 is about the max I take it on the highway. It's a cruiser. :)The aluminum door sill trim plates are worn and need replacing. It drips a little oil when sitting. Again. It's a 56. Smokes a little when first started after sitting for a while. Once it's warm it's fine. I'm told this is normal with these old flatheads. Car occasionally stays running when the key is turned to the off position. I haven't spent the time to track down the source of the problem. When it happens I just pop it in gear and it shuts off. Could be the ignition switch. I was told the 66. 00 miles shown on the odometer are original miles. The car runs great and was in fantastic shape before the restoration so i'm inclined to believe it. I have no documentation to support it so take it for what it's worth. All in all it's a gorgeous car that runs and drives just like it looks. You won't be disappointed when you see it. Local showings are possible for serious buyers. Might entertain trades+cash or even full trades for a nice restomod. Check out the pictures. the car speaks for itself. Feel free to message me with questions.
