This 1982 Vanagon Westfalia Camper is an extremely solid. low mileage. original vehicle. I purchased this with the intention of doing a light restoration. but things happen and now it is available for sale (at no reserve. high bidder takes it home!) I have owned over a dozen Vanagon Westfalias. and this is by far the cleanest. most original one I have come across. This 85. 00 original mile Westy features the rare diesel engine. with a 4-speed transmission. The exterior and underneath are incredibly solid and clean. with only very minor rusting on the rear driver side quarter panel seam. The interior is near mint condition. as you can see in the pics. It features fold out bed. upper full-size bed. refrigerator. stove. and much. much more. It even has the original mosquito net for the rear hatch. The only thing missing is the table-top for the small table behind the driver seat. The table arm is there though. The canvas top is in decent shape with one patch. and there is a small tear at the rear portion. This Vanagon has the 1. 6 liter diesel motor. which is currently not running. I'm not sure what it needs to get running. Part of the exhaust was removed. as was the timing belt. and they stopped there. The engine did run when it was parked 2 years ago. My personal opinion is that this would be a perfect candidate for a VW tdi swap. or a Subaru motor swap.
