This 1982 Vanagon Westfalia Camper is an extremely solid. low mileage. original vehicle. I purchased this with the intention of doing a light restoration. but things happen and now it is available for sale (at no reserve. high bidder takes it home!) I have owned over a dozen Vanagon Westfalias. and this is easily one of the cleanest. most original that I have come across. This 85. 00 original mile Westy features the not so common 1. 6 liter diesel engine. with a 4-speed manual transmission. The exterior and underneath are incredibly solid and clean. There are rust spots. but no major rot anywhere. The underneath is super clean. and the jack points are 100% solid. At one point (probably when new). pin striping and decals were added to the van. What's left of the decals can be seen at the rear of each side of the van. The interior is near mint condition. as you can see in the pics. It features fold out bed. upper full-size bed. refrigerator. stove. sink. electric outlets. and much. much more. It even has the original mosquito net for the rear hatch. The only thing missing is the table-top for the small table arm behind the driver seat. The table arm is there though. The canvas top is in decent shape with one patch. and there is a small tear at the rear portion. This Vanagon has the 1. 6 liter diesel motor. which is currently running. but since it sat for a couple years. it will need tuned up. The starter will need to be replaced. it's not working currently.
